What we treat as urgent
Toothache that won't settle
Persistent pain, throbbing, or pain that wakes you at night usually means the nerve inside the tooth is involved. We can see you, get you out of pain, and plan the next step on the same visit.
Broken or chipped tooth
Chipped a front tooth on holiday? Fractured a back tooth on something hard? We can rebuild small chips chairside the same day, and stabilise larger fractures while a proper plan is made.
Lost crown, filling, or veneer
Bring the piece with you if you've kept it. In many cases we can re-cement crowns the same day. If it can't be saved, we'll talk you through a temporary fix and the longer-term options.
Knocked-out adult tooth
Time matters. Pick the tooth up by the crown (the white bit, not the root), rinse it gently, and either pop it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us straight away.
Dental abscess or swelling
Facial swelling, fever, or a swollen jaw need same-day attention. We'll drain, treat the infection, and plan the definitive repair once the swelling settles.

The practice is in Kendal, the southern gateway to the Lake District National Park. We're used to seeing visitors who just need a problem sorted so they can get back to the rest of their trip.
